Mercadito Counter
A fast-casual taqueria meets a homestyle Mexican deli, crafted with the flavors of its flagship location, Mercadito. Located in Chicago’s bustling River North neighborhood, Mercadito Counter made a bold entrance into the culinary scene challenging their guests to eat 35 tacos in under 60 minutes to win free tacos for life.

Bold colors.
Rich and vibrant colors burst from Mercadito Counter’s menu, accented with Mexican papel picado inspired texture. The modern rustic decor and traditional latin palette compliment each other, much like the blended seasonings of the al pastor taco.

Bold marketing.
Mercadito Counter launched into the Chicago scene, playfully and loud, adding a new spicy flair to the River North district. ‘The Mexican,’ a bacon-wrapped hot dog topped with jalapeño relish, pico de gallo, mustard, ketchup and mayo, teased audiences by announcing “There’s a new perro in town.”

Bold flavors.
Tacos and mexican-inspired hot dogs are the staples at Mercadito Counter, celebrating the traditional street foods of both Mexico and Chicago.
