Tippling Hall
Part rustic beer hall, part luxurious wine bar and part hip cocktail lounge, Tippling Hall is a mecca for celebrating drink culture. Located in downtown Chicago’s bustling River North neighborhood, TH boasts a menu featuring cuisine styles from all over the world, a monthly cocktail that tributes “This is Spinal Tap” and a 24 page drink menu nicknamed “The Imbible.”

Hungry for literature.
The dining menu at Tippling Hall has 8 varying covers all featuring great literary icons (Oscar Wilde, Virginia Wolff, Ron Swanson, etc) talking about food. The menu’s cover is held in place by a branded, magnetic bottle cap that guests are encouraged to take home. The paper menu sits atop a custom-built plank fashioned with elastic suspenders, magnet inset and woodburned logo on the back. The branding and menu design was recognized and featured on The Art of the Menu.

Global comfort food.
In the way that TH’s drink menu circles the planet to celebrate all forms of drink culture, the dining menu presents the same international perspective when it comes to comfort and bar food.

The Imbible.
It looks like a menu, but under the roof of Tippling Hall it’s scripture. This 24-page drink menu features everything from kegged cocktails, alcohol-infused slushies and coffee, wine by the inch, and one big ass bloody mary. TH breaks up this exhaustive drink manual with some pages that are for novelty only, like hangover remedies and typographic quotes from Frank Zappa, encouraging the guest to keep reading every page.
